About EROAD
Founded in New Zealand in 2000, EROAD develops technology solutions that help commercial fleets stay compliant, improve safety and reduce the risk and operational costs of driving.
We were the first company in the world to implement a GNSS/cellular-based road charging solution across an entire country, which revolutionised the existing paper-based Road User Charge framework in New Zealand. Since first launching in 2010, EROAD has collected over $NZD 5.5 billion in electronic RUC and is the leading provider of electronic road user charges in New Zealand.
Merging with Coretex in 2021, EROAD now provides a range of fleet management solutions and trailer telematics across Australia, New Zealand and North America, and is the second largest provider of fleet telematics in Australasia (Berg Report 2021).
EROAD designs and manufactures in-vehicle hardware, operates secure payments and merchant gateways and offers web-based value-added services.
EROAD has built an entirely new kind of technology platform to support the commercial transportation sector – designed from the ground up to meet the highest performance, financial and evidential standards.
